 ایک شرابی کے ہاں ہر وقت شراب کا دَور رہتا تھا. ایک مرتبہ اس کے دوست احباب جمع تھے شراب تیار تھی اس نے اپنے غلام کو چار درہم دیے کہ شراب پینے سے پہلے دوستوں کو کھلانے کے لیے کچھ پھل خرید کر لائے. وہ غلام بازار جا رہا تھا کہ راستے میں حضرت منصور بن عمار بصری رحمتہ اللہ علیہ کی مجلس پر گزر ہوا وہ کسی فقیر کے واسطےلوگوں سے کچھ مانگ رہے تھے اور فرما رہے تھے کہ "جو شخص اس فقیر کو چار درہم دے میں اس کو چار دعائیں دوں گا" اس غلام نے وہ چاروں درہم اس فقیر کو دے دیے. حضرت منصور رحمتہ اللہ علیہ نے فرمایا, بتا کیا دعائیں چاہتا ہے...؟ غلام نے کہا میرا ایک آقا ہے میں اس سے خلاصی چاہتا ہوں. حضرت منصور رحمتہ اللہ علیہ نے دعا فرمائی اور پوچھا دوسری دعا کیا چاہتا ہے...؟ غلام نے کہا مجھے ان درہموں کا بدل مل جائے. حضرت منصور رحمتہ اللہ علیہ نے اس کی بھی دعا کی پھر پوچھا تیسری دعا کیا ہے...؟ غلام نے کہا حق تعالٰی شانہ میرے سردار کو توبہ کی توفیق دے اور اس کی دعا قبول کرے. آپ رحمتہ اللہ علیہ نے اس کی بھی دعا کی پھر پوچھا چوتھی دعا کیا ہے...؟ غلام نے کہا حق تعالٰی شانہ میری, میرے سردار کی, تمہاری
