In sixteenth century, Balochs were sanctified with two great sardars in Balochistan who played a chronological role while leading there tribes frontward. Among them one was Meer Chakar Khan Rind who played a vital role in leading forward his Rind Tribe and the other one Meer Guwahram Lashari the great leader of Lashari Tribe.

Meer Shayhaq Rind (S/o Rind Khan S/o Mir Jalal Khan) got two married but got no children from those two wives, that’s why he was always agonize.
In the meanwhile, Meer Shayhaq Rind was fifty years of age that he got married with a daughter of a respectable and noble Rind lady. She gave birth to two daughters and two sons in ten years. Among whom the eldest son was Meer Chakar Khan Rind and the second was Meer Sohrab Khan Rind.

In the mid of fifteenth century Rind Tribe was living in a region of Makran while with them Lasharis were living in the areas of Gandaawah.
In every repulsive situation both Tribes would stand on the whole for each other to face every hard situation. Before them Meer Shayhaq Rind (father of Chakar Rind) & Sardar Nobandagh Lashari (Son of Mir Lashar Khan and father of Guwahram Lashari) helped each other in every miserable condition till their old ages.

Rinds were living in Makran (West Balochistan) that they decided to migrate from Makran to some other areas because they were wretched with the barren lands of Makran. Then the time came when it was decided to migrate from barren to fertile lands. So Meer Chakar Khan Rind invited Sardars of different Tribes in which Meer Guwahram Lashari had a distinctive status because he was the Sardar of Lashar Tribe.

In 1485, Meer Chakar Rind left Makran forever. Brave Rinds were living in the valleys and gardens of Kech & Makran.
In Rinds only about forty thousand Rinds got ready to migrate with Meer Chakar Rind. Thousands of camels, horses and ponies were laden with goods. Old, women and children were riding on them.
They kept on traveling, at last they reached at khuzdar. After some days rest Meer Chakar Rind and his Rinds started moving towards Qalat`s upper mountains. They took hold of vast area from Khuzdar to Qalat.

Meer Chakar Rind along with his caravan entered in Darra Bolan passing through hard paths. At last he reached Dhadar and erected his flag.
After couple of years Meer Chakar Rind shifted his camp from Dhadar to Sibi. But Meer Chakar Rind's cousin Mir Mehaan settled in Dhadar and established his Sardari there.

Meer Chakar Rind became the only owner of Sibi. There was a time when Rinds & Lasharis were living jointly with love and friendliness but gradually with the passage of time, differences among Rinds & Lasharis got born and they became thirsty of each other's blood. And due to adversary they fought so many wars against each other.
Just later than six months of last war between Rinds and Lasharis, when Lasharis were completely crashed by Rinds. Rinds decided to live their rest of life with peace, with no more war. So for living a peaceful life Meer Chakar Rind along with his caravan once again started wandering from Sibi towards Punjab. During journey they traveled through a very dangerous Darra which was later on named Darra e Chakar.
In one morning during journey Meer Chakar Rind climbed up on a high mountain seeing the last view of Sibi and said;
O Sibi Good-Bye mana tayi 3 cheez har wahda wash o doost bottag ant. Tayi washein kottag,(water-melons) tayi chakki waala maindeh,( Sorry Maindeh Nazana Chya Gosha ant) o tayi kohe washein saartein gwat.(Cool Wind)
Meer Chakar Rind kept on traveling through the hills, at last reached at Multan. And then from Multan to Sat-ghara near Okara and settled there lastingly. Meer Chakar Rind died there and his grave is still there in Sat-ghara near Okara.

Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind

NA 267:

Since 1990, former federal minister Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind has been wining this seat. From 1990 to 1997 he won on JWP tickets, while in 2002 he contested and triumphed as a candidate of the NA. Now he is contesting on a PMLQ ticket. In 2002, Rind had secured 57,751 votes, while the runner-up Nawab Mohammad Aslam Khan of the PPP had bagged only 10,302 votes. While Rind does not face any serious challenge in this constituency, an independent candidate Mir Hamayun Kurd can give him a semblance of a fight.
